Lupin Flour Oat & Macadamia Biscuits

Oat and Macadamia Biscuits

Makes approximately 12 biscuits


  • 3/4 cup rolled oats
  • 2/3 cup plain flour
  • 1/3 cup lupin flour
  • 2/3 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup macadamias, chopped
  • 1 tablespoons golden syrup
  • 100g unsalted butter or margarine
  • 1/2 teaspoon bi carb soda
  • 1 tablespoon hot water


  1. Preheat oven to 170ºC.
  2. Place oats, flour, coconut, sugar and macadamias in a bowl and stir to combine. Make a well in the centre of the mixture.
  3. Place golden syrup and butter in a saucepan over medium heat, heat until melted and combined. Stir bi carb soda into hot water, then add to the golden syrup mixture. Poor this mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
  4. Place tablespoon of mixture onto lined baking trays and press down slightly.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown, transfer to a wire rack to cool.
