Orange, Honey and Date Scones



  • ¾ cup Lupin Flour
  • 2 tsp butter
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1½ cups self raising flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup chopped dates
  • 1 egg



Preheat oven to 210ºC. Melt honey then mix in orange juice and lightly beaten egg. Sift in flours and baking powder and add dates. Mix gently to make soft dough. Knead lightly and briefly and press out on a floured surface. Cut into shapes and place on floured tray. Brush tops with little milk. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes about 12.
