Savoury Slice

  • 1 Medium Zucchini grated
  • 1 medium Brown Onion finely chopped
  • 3 – 4 Rashers Bacon chopped
  • 1 cup Grated Cheese
  • ½ Red Capsicum chopped
  • ½ cup Irwin Valley Lupin Flour
  • ½ cup Gluten Free self raising flour
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 5 Eggs


  1. Grease a 21cm square oven proof dish with an approx. depth of 4cm.
  2. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl, adding eggs last.
  3. Turn into prepared dish and bake in oven at 200 degrees C for 40 minutes or until mixture is browned and springs back when touched.

Notes & tips

  • May be served warm from the oven or cut when cooled and eaten cold.
  • Slice is suitable to freeze.
  • A great addition to a packed lunch or in lieu of a sandwich with soup.
  • May also be cooked in muffin tins or in a quiche dish.
  • Looks great decorated with sliced cherry tomatoes prior to baking.
